About Dr. Tsoraides

Dr. Tsoraides was born and raised in Illinois and has called Peoria home for half of his life. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) and Masters of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Illinois after graduating from Loyola University Chicago with studies in biology and history. He is Board Certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery as well as General Surgery after training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP).

He is the Director of Illinois’s first Nationally Accredited Rectal Cancer Program at OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center. He also serves as the Program Director of the Surgery Residency at UICOMP, overseeing the education of the next generation of surgeons who will serve our communities. He conducts research through the University and has presented this work nationally and globally.

Dr. Tsoraides has a busy practice treating a large number of cancer patients from all over Illinois. His experience in Robotic Colon and Rectal Surgery is one of the largest in Central Illinois. He has extensive experience in many techniques including laparoscopy, transanal endoscopic microsurgery, and endoscopy in order to best tailor treatment for each patient.
