Dr. Andy Chiou Re-Elected President And CEO Of Peoria Surgical Group, Ltd.

Peoria Surgical Group, Ltd (PSG) today announced that Andy C. Chiou, MD, MPH, RVT, RPVI, FACS has been unanimously re-elected President and CEO by the PSG Shareholders.

“Andy has superbly guided and provided outstanding leadership for our group over that last two years, navigating an incredibly complex and challenging medical environment,” stated Eric T. Elwood, MD, Chief of Plastic Surgery. “Andy is a proven leader with significant strategic operations, business and administrative experience. We have every confidence that our group will continue to grow, thrive and provide the best surgical care for the community under his management.”

Dr. Chiou serves as the Director of the Peoria Vein Center, and Director of the vascular and endovascular team at PSG. He received his medical degree and a Master’s of Public Health in Health Care Administration from Boston University and completed his general residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He also completed a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is Board Certified in both General Surgery and Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Chiou served with distinction as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force as both the Chief of Vascular Surgery at the USAF Flagship medical center and as a consultant to the USAF Surgeon General. Dr. Chiou’s current Academic appointments include Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology & Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria and Adjunct Professor of Engineering and Technology at Bradley University, Peoria, IL.
