J. Kevin Paulsen, MD

Education

Dr. J. Kevin Paulsen attended college at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana and completed medical school training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP). He completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and his surgical residency at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Experienced and Accomplished

As a general surgeon, Dr. Paulsen is skilled in performing a wide range of procedures including hernia repair, varicose vein treatments and many others. He has been on the faculty of UICOMP since 1978 and is currently the Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery. He also serves as the Director of the Board Review Conference. Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, he is on the active staff of all three Peoria hospitals.

Personal

Born in Harvard, Illinois, Dr. Paulsen attended elementary and high school in Woodstock. He resides in the Peoria area with his wife. They have two daughters.
