Dr. Thomas Rossi received his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and his doctorate in medicine from Chicago Medical School at North Chicago. He completed his internship and surgical residency at Cook County/University of Illinois Hospital at Chicago.
With a special interest and extensive experience in bariatric surgeries including Gastric Bypass, Lap-Band® and Laparoscopic Duodenal Switch, Dr. Rossi is a board certified general surgeon who performs a full range of surgical procedures.
He has served as an instructor of surgery as well as an assistant clinical professor at Cook County/University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. He is currently Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), and is on the active staff at the three Peoria hospitals as well as Pekin Hospital. Dr. Rossi is also the managing partner of Peoria Surgical Group.
Dr. Rossi resides in Morton with his wife, Dr. Janice Takata-Rossi. They have nine children.
